Scope

The Polymer Networks Group Conference (PNG 2020) will provide a forum to scientists working on different aspects of synthetic and natural polymer gels. The focus of the symposium ranges from theoretical and fundamental aspects to recent advances in synthesis, characterization and application of polymer networks and gels. Within this context, a broad range of subjects including structure and dynamics, micro/nano phenomena, molecular modeling and simulation will be discussed.

Focus Topics

The scientific program of the conference will be centered around the following focus topics:

  • Neutral and Polyelectrolyte Gels
  • Phase Transition in Gels
  • Responsive gels
  • Structure property relationship in polymer networks
  • Self-Assembly and Fiber Formation
  • Organogels
  • Nanostructures in Gels
  • Transport and Dynamic Properties
  • Computational Modeling and Simulation of Network Formation, Structure, and Dynamic Properties
  • Novel Chemistry of Crosslinking
  • Surfaces and Interfaces (pattern formation and recognition, etc.)
  • Gels as Biomaterials (scaffolds for tissue engineering, drug delivery systems, soft contact lenses, etc.)
  • Applications of Polymer Networks and Gels
